NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL (with lovely company), part 1

NOTE: A tale in three parts in which our intrepid Cupids join in for yet another of the barely planned schemes of thatdillygirl for fun and friendship.

You should have been there!! Here are the pictures to prove why. (I’d like to request a fatwa be issued on the irresponsible ex-spouses of my lovely friends who could not be with us this weekend. But it would mean I’d have to convert. And I don’t believe in capital punishment. They deserve better. That is all.)

There is no video. Blame YouTube. It doesn’t like my video.

SATURDAY
People arrived at my garden. We cooked food outside and ate it. It was good. We had loads of fun. Best of all the OKChildren present all had freckles and all had fun. There are no pictures of the freckles because none of them would stay still long enough to be photographed. Seriously! Instead here are some pictures of the rest of it all.
Anyone remember my short battle with the flying ants in my bathroom? The minis found a huge, scary nest of them in the garden. Gee, thanks kids!
misfratz, kids & LordSuperFast crouched around the icky ants in the grass, markiolioliolio, wrycricket.
And yes, I still think misfratz is stunning. Here’s the thing people -- in person, she has a gorgeous laugh and absolutely luminous skin. I’m jealous is all.
Yes, if the sun is shining and you are with markioliolio he will strip to the waist as soon as possible and stay that way until the sun sets.

Remains of the day. Images like this make a hostess very, very happy.

And isn’t the only one with a fantastic and infectious laugh. Witness, the bringer of perfect weather for a great weekend.

Obligatory shoe picture. Kid shoe @ night. Awesome!!

After cleaning up at my place, wrycricket, the Paterii markiolii & I headed to Hyde Park for the last of the steel band Panorama. It was dark, here we are. I won’t tell you how long we had to stand there as mini-markiolioliolios learned the ins and outs of digital photography, but I will tell you that the winning image, (not here), was achieved by the mini-est-oliolii in one shot!
